Electric Vehicles - THE new Car of the 21st Century? In 2009 the entire automotive industry celebrated its latest rising star on the horizont: "the electric vehicle". 2009 really was the "kick-off year" for the electrification of the industry: more and more manufacturers are starting to produce such cars, consumers are looking for them and politicians all over the world are promoting the "clean" power of electricity and tie incentives to foster the demand for electric vehicles.
